API Drilling Grade Barite is a high specific gravity mineral (barium sulfate) specially processed to meet API 13A requirements.
It is widely used as a weighting material in drilling fluids to control formation pressure, reduce the risk of blowouts and support safe, efficient drilling operations.

Applications in the Drilling Industry
API drilling grade barite is used in water-based, oil-based and synthetic drilling fluids. Its high specific gravity, low solubility and chemical stability make it an effective weighting material for onshore and offshore drilling operations.
High Specific Gravity
With a typical specific gravity of 4.20–4.30, barite increases drilling-fluid density and helps balance high formation pressures.
Formation-Pressure Control
